Fort Worth Opera Ball 2003
A Gala Evening of Fun
& Celebration
The elegant Fort Worth Opera Ball is the Fort Worth
Opera
company's single largest fundraiser of the year. It is also the first party
of the Fort Worth social season, and one of the most fun!
The 41st annual Fort Worth Opera Ball was held at
the Ridglea Country Club on October 11, 2003.
The
Fort Worth Opera, the oldest opera company in Texas, and one of the
most respected opera companies in the nation, brings together top quality
productions and the most talented young opera talent from around the world.
Both Beverly Sills and Placido Domingo starred at the Fort Worth Opera in
their rise to operatic fame. Naturally we are very proud of our opera
company. But all the staging, props, orchestra, chorus and principal singers
have a price. Production costs and the rental of Bass Hall continue to
skyrocket as Fort Worth Opera continues to bring outstanding opera to Fort
Worth.
The Opera Ball strives to supplement the Opera Company's budget each year
by raising additional funding through one of the best parties of the year!
That's where you play a very important role. Just like an opera production,
it takes many individuals - each playing their part - to make an incredible
evening of art and magic.
Your support of the Fort Worth Opera
Ball ensures that
Fort Worth Opera will continue to be a source of artistic sophistication
and entertainment excellence for future generations.
