Fort Worth Opera Ball 2005 |
 Kris Lindsay, assisted by her able lieutenant Jennifer Fletcher
from the Fort Worth Opera
office, was Chair of the 43rd annual Fort Worth Opera Ball, held
in the 12th floor ballroom of the downtown Fort Worth Club on October 8, 2005.
Lue Anne Claypool was the honoree. Partygoers, many decked out in
period costume, enjoyed a cocktail hour
with entertainment provided by magicians, painters, Can-Can girls and
singers from FW Opera's Young Artists Program, all accompanied by the French
Cajun sounds of Trio Blanc with Guest. After a delicious dinner of beef filet
topped with pâté, throngs of people filled the dance floor and swirled to the
music of The Jim Petty Orchestra. The
evening's Silent Auction was a big success, and, thanks to the work of a
dedicated Auction Committee headed by Denise Ho, guests went home with
great bargains on high quality items. Fort Worth Opera really knows how to
throw a party! |
